The Computherm's program is held even if the batteries go flat, only the time needing to be reset. (With the Salus, the radiators had gone completely cold before the thermostat kicked in again, and the resultant cycling in room temperature was unwelcome.) The Computherm simultaneously displays both the actual temperature and the set temperature (the Salus only showed one at a time, without clearly indicating which was which). It gives a better switching sensitivity ( ☐.1☌ compared with the Salus ☐.5☌,) and therefore noticeable better comfort.
The Computherm has distinct advantages, although it is more expensive. I bought the Computherm Q7RF as a replacement for a Salus RT500RF, which had failed after 10 years of faithful service.
